Minister Kathleen S. Turner,

Guest Choreographer

Jamaica, NY


Kathleen, a native New Yorker, began dancing at the age of 5 at the Gloria Jackson Dance Studio.  After graduating from the New York High School of Performing Arts, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SUNY Purchase, a Master of Fine Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College and also has some postgraduate work at Columbia’s Teacher’s College.  Ms. Turner has danced with Fred Benjamin, Morse Donaldson, Dorothy Vislocky and has worked extensively with Director/Choreographer – Diane McIntyre.  Under the direction of Ms McIntyre, Ms. Turner was a member of the Sounds In Motion Dance Company touring the United States and Europe.  She also served as assistant to Ms McIntyre on various theater productions including works performed in the National Black Arts Festival and the Lincoln Center Theater.

 

For twenty-eight years, Kathleen has been an active member of the Greater Allen Cathedral under the pastorate of the Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake.  Some of her activities include founding the Allen Sacred Dance Choir, director of the Allen Liturgical Dance Ministry (ALDM), an officer on the Steward Board, and teaching numerous bible studies.  Since 1979, Kathleen has choreographed over seventy-five dances for the ALDM as well as having collaborated extensively with the Catherdral’s Music Ministry, Creative Arts Ministry and in 1994 collaborated with the Rev. Anthony Lucas to create the music video, “REACH ONE, TEACH ONE”, which featured the Shekinah Youth Chapel of The Greater Allen Cathedral.

Bro. Zoe Prather,

Guest Step Master

Clarksville, TN

 


Alphonse (aka Zoe) is a multi-talented child of God.  He is a singer songwriter, choreographer, and actor of dramatic interpretation.  Zoe is married to Shay Prather and they have three beautiful children together.  They currently reside in Clarksville, TN.

He currently serves as the anointed praise and worship leader at New Jerusalem five fold ministries in Clarksville, TN.  He has performed dance and step workshops in churches throughout Kentucky and Tennessee.  He was the founder of the first step team in Clarksville, TN (Soldiers in Christ).  He established a community step team called Power and Grace, and an advanced coed team called J-Phi (Jesus – praise Him infinitely).  He has also used this ministry to draw youth through an annual event called Stompfest for Christ.  He was the guest choreographer in Kansas City in 1998 for the Project Save-A-Child dance troupe, where he taught powerful step routines for Kansas City’s youth.

 

He has also ministered through song and wrote lyrics for local gospel artists as well as for artists on the Shedar record label in Atlanta, GA.  He has shared the stage with Emmi recording artists Smokie Norful, Trinity 357 and Howard Hewitt.

 

Zoe is a visionary and has a love for people that constrains him to help them be the best they can.  His talents have taken him to various cities across the globe and it’s just the beginning for this young man, on fire for God.

Minister Leon Dixon
Speaker, Saturday Worship Service

Our Saturday evening speaker will be Greater Pentecostal Temple’s very own Minister of Music, Min. Leon Dixon.  Not only is Leon a phenomenal musician, but he has also been called as a Minister of the Gospel.  Leon has played for such recording artists as Rev.
